Does this sound ok? I’ve known the bride for years, but we haven’t been "close" friends so I don’t really have any fond memories..

Good evening everyone. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Megan and I have the honor and privelage of being the maid of honor. I met (bride) in 4th grade and we’ve been friends ever since. I’ve noticed that both (groom) and (bride) have strong faith in their families, friends, and God, which is a great foundation to build a marriage onto. I wish you both nothing but the best. Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like to offer a toast: To (groom) & (bride), and a wonderful life together!

doesn’t seem like quite enough
can you think of an example of when they showed they have strong faith in these things?
how have you known her since 4th grade and not made a memory or two?
anyway…i’d add some detail, but it sounds good so far :)

Ok, just some things to consider:
    1. Do not use the word honor twice in the second sentence. I am deeply joyed to have the opportunity and the privilage to be thhe mard of honor.
    2. THE fourth grade
    3. Just friends? Emphasize. Even if you have not been close, as the chosen Maid of Honor, look to yourself as closer to her than just "friends"
    4. Elaborate on them and elaborate on your own relationship and positive intuition on their marriage.
    5. You are set!

you need to try to add more… my MOH spoke for like 6 minutes and was crying and had everyone laughing. It was grea, it was so sincere and heeartfelt. But we have been really close for like 18 years. Like sister-close. You have to try to pull more out…it sounds artificial and generic.Sorry :( it must be a horrible task to try to come up with something.I sympathize for you.

The best man never even spoke…but that is another story for another day ( lame)
