A good opening could be:
"We are honored to be gathered here today to share in the joy of "X" and "Y" as they begin their life together as one in the creation of a family. Some of us here today do not know eachother yet, but through our mutal love and respect for the two individuals who have today married we will all have the priviledge of getting to know one another over the course of time."
This way draws the couple the family and their friends into what you will then say personal about them.
A good ending might be:
"And so in closing please join me in wishing these two fine people our very best and may no force or ill wind ever blow between them!"
